We use lansweeper heavily for tracking licenses. I've noticed the License core counts dont tally up with the Lansweeper hardware scans of the same assets. IE we have 3x 2016 VM with SQL 2016 installed with 4x cores in each... ours currently shows 0 cores in use and 12 available which is wrong.
The scans of these assets shows a single 4x core processor so the scans are accurate.
2012 doesnt look to be 100% accurate either but we have a LOT more of those that i will have to cross reference manually to know for sure.
any ideas? the licensing side of this is getting worse if anything not better!
