I'd like to report on Server 2016 build number to ensure we are at the latest version.

Using the OperatingSystem.Version only gives the 10.0.14393 as you get from the ver command and not the full build version as you get with WinVer command.

Is it possible to get the full OS Build value?

Thanks
Dave

Thanks Charles,

Unfortunately those values don't include the full build number, just the 14393.

I've found a reg value;

HK_Classes_Root\CLSID\{5FDD51E2-A9D0-44CE-8C8D-162BA0C591A0}.Version

Which does include the full build number 10.0.14393.2273 - it's for Microsoft camera software...but works for now.

Regards
Dave

What you are asking is currently not yet available in the stable release. However, currently we have a beta version which does have this feature.

If you would like to try the beta version, you can download it here: https://www.lansweeper.com/prerelease.aspx
Do note that this is still a work in progress so there might still be issues with the build and we don't recommend using it in a production environment.

If you want to get the version numbers in your current stable release, you can add the following registry keys to custom registry scanning to retrieve the full build numbers:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Values:
CurrentBuild
ReleaseId

You can find more information about custom registry scanning here: https://www.lansweeper.com/kb/18/report-based-on-registry-keys.html
