Hello,

In the configuration where we have several scanning servers, is the traffic between scanning servers and the main (database) server encrypted?

In the topic Traffic encrypted? - Is all Lansweeper network traffic encrypted? you only talk about the traffic between clients and servers and not between servers.

We are on latest Lansweeper version and need to harden the security for every data and not only for credentials!

Regards,

Sylvie

Hi Sylvie,

By default, traffic between the scanning servers and database is not encrypted. SQL Server Management Studio does give you the option to encrypt it. Microsoft has it's own documentation on how to encrypt a database connection here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/enable-encrypted-connections-to-the-database-engine?view=sql-server-2017
