We just use windows task scheduler to run a powershell script.Send-MailMessage -To "myhelpdesk@abc.com" -From "myhelpdesk@abc.com" -Subject "subject line" -Body "email text" -SmtpServer "myMailRelay.abc.com" -BodyAsHtml
I don't think Lansweeper can do this - we use scheduled tasks to email the helpdesk. It works for us but the dispatching rules can be quite limiting if you want to set several categories when the ticket is generated.
I too am an old fart that shares some of your frustrations, especially with the push to the cloud - though LS are not the only company guilty of this. One thing LS is guilty of is their biased 'surveys' that feature on here - it's often not possible ...
Think you need to tweak your survey a little. One of the first questions was about Lansweeper cloud, which I stated we didn't use, then I filled in a question saying why we don't use it just for all the following questions to be about LS Cloud!
