The 'weird' domains stay listed until all assets part of that domain are deleted from the database. Another option to remove these weird domains from the dashboard would be setting the assets part of that domain to non-active as most dashboard overviews only count assets set to active. To find the assets part of the 'weird' domains you could perform a search by using the top fields under Assets at the top of the web console.
