Is there a report or a way to find out how much drive space is being used for documents on an asset? I need to calculate how much drive space is being used on the assets by documents for all assets individually and total used. Would like to migrate to a "Home Drive" environment.

You can report on total drive space used by using tblDiskDrives.FreeSpace and tblDiskDrives.Size, but unfortunately it's not possible to determine what the space is being used by. This would require full file system scanning which we do not do as this would negatively impact scanning performance.

If you are interested in building or modifying reports, we do recommend:
  • Reviewing some SQL tutorials, as the Lansweeper report builder is a standard SQL editor. If you know SQL, you know how to build Lansweeper reports as well. This seems like a good tutorial.
  • Making use of our database dictionary, which explains in great detail what each database table and field stores. More information on the dictionary can be found here.
