I cannot connect to any pc's Event Viewer
when I try to connect to event viewer
get the following error
Event viewer cannot open the event log or custom view. Verify that the event log service is running or query is to long. Access is denied(5)

In regards to your question: actions are run in the security context of the user initiating the action. If an action (like the Event Viewer one) requires administrative privileges on the target computer, the user initiating the action must have those privileges. The access denied error you're referring to seems to indicate that your user lacks the necessary privileges. You could use runas.exe to run the action as a different user.
