Huawei switch CX311 serial number

Hi at all,

I discovered a CX311 Huawei switch, but the discovered serial number is not the "product serial number", it correspond to a physical serial number. The OID used by Lansweeper to discovery CX311 is 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.271.2.

I try to change the OID on "Asset Mapping" adding this OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1, but the result it's the same.

Someon have the same issue or an idea?

Hi Calogero,

The serial number scanned from a switch really depends on what SNMP gives back. Unfortunately, if the wrong serial number is given back, there is not much you can do other then manually entering the correct one.

OID Mapping is only intended to correctly identify the asset's type. It has no influence on the way the asset is scanned.
