Hello,

Every now and again we notice a AD user is not listed in LS, although the user account exist, and other members of the same group are also available. This happens to all sorts of account (service, admin, or normal user), and not limited to any particular group or ou.  Have anyone else experienced similar issue? Do you have any idea, what can be the problem here?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi,

Chances are that the AD User/Group Path Scanning is either/or

  • not configured to retrieve your AD account on a schedule
  • not running correctly so that recent users/groups are not in the database

Additionally: Normally the AD account should have read-rights to the entire AD domain. In terms of the delegation that comes down to: Read all user information. You may have to modify the delegated permissions for the AD Service account that is performing the AD scan.
