Engaged Sweeper III
Hi,

We are looking to configure directed broadcast on our network so that Wake-on-Lan packets will traverse correctly across different subnets from Lansweeper to wake up remote site PCs.

We suspect Lansweeper is sending out a WoL unicast packet when initiating it from a PC asset on the web console. However, it's by design that a PC will only wake up during the first four hours before a remote switch clears its ARP cache of any old table entries on local subnets—otherwise known as it's past being considered "active on the network".

Does Lansweeper support a network configured for directed broadcasts so that we can achieve waking up computers on our remote subnets?

Thanks,
Daniel

Yep.
Configuring your network to allow directed broadcast should allow you to use Wake-on-LAN across subnets.
