We have a retail copy of lansweeper. We use the lansweeper web report that indicates whether a virus scanner is installed. However, we also want to know if the scanner is enabled or disabled (some people disable their scanner temporarily if it is causing problems). Does this functionality exist already in the Lansweeper output somewhere, and if not can it be added easily by us?

I have found this windows powershell script which apparently can get this information. Perhaps part of this could be use in lansweeper?

Windows Defender detection was added to the 5.1 BETA: http://lansweeper.com/fo...answeeper-5-1-beta.aspx
We recommend installing on a test server or backing up your 5.0 database prior to upgrading.

OK thanks - look forward to seeing 5.1 to see if it does the trick for us!

We have built in a small part of this AV status check in our next version 5.1, most likely released end of this month, but most AV software does not support this. We are looking for a better solution.
