When you as an emerging partner buy a Lansweeper license for a customer, automatic renewals are enabled by default. Optionally, you can disable automatic renewals after the initial purchase has been completed.
Don't recall whether you disabled automatic renewals for a particular customer's license? Contact
partners@lansweeper.com and mention the customer's order reference number to receive up-to-date info on the contract's renewal configuration.
Automatic renewal enabled (default)
If automatic renewals are enabled, which they are by default, you as the billing contact will receive renewal reminders prior to your customer's license expiration date. Depending on the size of the contract, renewal reminders come from either Lansweeper or our e-commerce partner Cleverbridge. On the actual renewal date, one of the following will happen:
- If the original purchase was done using credit card or PayPal, that same card or PayPal account is automatically charged for the renewal. You as the billing contact will then receive an invoice and new license key via email. It is your responsibility as the reseller to invoice the end user and to manually forward the new Lansweeper license key to them.
- If the original purchase was done using wire transfer, you as the billing contact will receive payment instructions for the renewal. Once you've completed the payment, you will receive a new license key. It is your responsibility as the reseller to invoice the end user and to manually forward the new Lansweeper license key to them. Optionally, you can send a purchase order document on your company letterhead to our e-commerce partner Cleverbridge at cs@cleverbridge.com. By sending in a PO, you will receive a temporary license key while you wait for your wire transfer payment to be processed.
