The mission of this online Community is to provide a peer-to-peer and direct support channel for users of the Lansweeper Products.
Please remember that you may not share your registered account with any other individual, entity, or organization.
While our community is aimed at Lansweeper customers and partners, we welcome everyone with an interest in managing your IT environment, as long as you observe these Community Guidelines:
1. Have fun and engage
The Community is about connecting people. Your participation will keep the Community a more beneficial place both for you and for the rest of the Community e.g.:
Please try to post in English (Google Translate may be helpful if needed) We will try to translate things posted in other languages (using Google Translate) but cannot guarantee that we will be able to in every case.
2. Search First
If you have a question, before posting a new Post, please use the search function (at the top of every page) to see if you can find an answer from a previous thread. If the question has been previously asked, this will be the quickest way to find an answer, whilst also avoiding unnecessary duplication. If you still cannot find what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to post a question on the Community.
3. Choose a Label
When posting, you'll be requested to initially choose a relevant Label to your post/Topic, from the pre-defined Label list. Keeping Topics in the correct Label will help to keep Labels tidy, help with searchability for other users & hence better responses to your post.
4. Stay on Topic
To keep each discussion as clean as possible, please stay on the topic of the discussion. If you have something unrelated you would like to discuss, please start a new discussion/post.
5. Mark Replies as an Accepted Solution
If it solves your query, please mark the correct reply as an Accepted Solution by clicking on the down-arrow on the top right of a reply and clicking on "Accept as a Solution". This will support other users to also solve their issues faster and will increase the overall value of the Lansweeper Community. You will also let other users know that they can find a good answer in the thread if they face a similar issue.
6. Be respectful
Be welcoming and respectful towards other members. No question is too simple. We want to ensure that our Community remains a welcoming place for all members. Respect people's time and attention by asking well-thought-out questions and sharing what you've learned so far in your experimentation or prior research. Respect people as individuals by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive.
Do not post inappropriate, hateful or illegal content (including usernames & profile pictures). Do not post copyrighted material without proper attribution. Do not post/share any SPAM.
Lansweeper Community is not a place for:
7. Be relevant
Make sure your contributions are relevant to the mission of the community, to the specific discussion style and topic where you post. Please do not post duplicate messages in different areas of the community to avoid fragmenting discussion. If you have a new question, start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation. Solicitations are rarely relevant. If you have something you want members to join, participate in, or buy, ask us first.
8. Keep your word
You are responsible for any content that you post. Please ensure you have permission to post any information/content (where necessary) & will not cause harm to anybody by making it public. Don't post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret, or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party.
9. Protect privacy - yours and others'
Don't share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. Share your business email address if you wish, but don't post personal information: your own or anyone else's (including contact information or any). Content that you receive in one-to-one communications should not be posted without the author's consent.
Do not share log files or asset screenshots: While very useful, these might contain sensitive data like IP addresses and server names, which you might not want to expose. Sharing a redacted log or screen snippet is fine if it helps explain your question or issue.
10. Remember, this is user-generated content
You'll find plenty of good advice here, but remember that your situation, configuration, or implementation may vary from that of the individual sharing a solution. Some advice you find here may even be wrong. Apply the same good judgment here that you would apply to information anywhere on the Internet.
By using the Community you agree to follow these rules as well as the full Terms of Service for the Lansweeper Community. We thank you, and your fellow Community members thank you.
The Lansweeper Logo and Lansweeper Employees
You will notice that some community members have a Lansweeper "Sweepy" avatar next to their names as well as the Employee rank, this means they are Lansweeper employees.
Like you, they are members of the Community, and we encourage them to share their knowledge and opinions here.
Feedback & Ideas
We want this to be the best community it can possibly be - so let us know what you think, or how we can help improve your experience on the Lansweeper Community by posting a comment on the Community Suggestions & Feedback post.
We know you have tons of ideas for improving the Lansweeper products and services. If you are a customer or partner, be sure to post your ideas using "Feature Request" Label on the Lansweeper Community. At this point, we do not have enough capacity to run through all the Lansweeper Product Feedback ideas and provide a follow up information about a possible (or not) implementation of your idea, but we are certainly monitoring the feedbacks along with the Product Dev Team.
If you have questions for Lansweeper that cannot be discussed in the community, please contact the Moderation team on this platform.
Flag inappropriate content for review
If you see something inappropriate, you can choose to mark the content as either "Spam" or "Report it as inappropriate content", via the drop down "Options" on the top right corner of a post/reply. You can then enter an explanation as to why you think it should be flagged. Flagging inappropriate content helps keep our Community ‘clean’. Our moderation team will then review the post & take any necessary action.
Disputes
In the event of a dispute, the Lansweeper Community Moderation or Management team will reach out to all parties & do our best to treat all parties fairly & objectively to assist with a resolution.
Breach of Guidelines
At times, we may edit or remove a post that violates the guidelines listed here, and will apply the appropriate consequences for any recorded violations. Our moderator will inform you of the reasons why any action has been taken, in case it occurs. You are not allowed to discuss or post about moderation consequences: Community members are not allowed to post about moderation actions, warnings, or suspensions related to their account or the account of others, nor is it permitted to discuss or repost content that has previously been removed.
We hope you find value in the Lansweeper Community and collaborate with us and our fellow Community Members to a healthy and valuable community!
