Hello support,
In Lansweeper some users do not show up correctly. Most of the users are correct, but users that were renamed previously show up in Lansweeper with the old name.
If you open the table dbo.tblADusers, the username and the domainname are filled in, but the other columns contains NULLS.
New created users in AD are scanned correctly.
What attribute in Active Directory will be used for the column Username in the dbo.tblADusers table in the Lansweeper Database?
Regards,
Philip

I will ask here so I don't open new topic. I also have users which are not shown in Lansweeper. As I see, only if that user is logged on once on any computer - then it will be shown in Lansweeper? So if I have users which never had been logged on onto any computer - they will not be shown in Lansweeper? Is this corect?

Hi All, not sure if this is relevant or related to this issue but I have a couple of users within my active directory forest that LANSweeper has not yet recognised and does not show when searching. As far as im aware the users name has not changed but for some reason its like the user does not exist from a LANSweeper point of view.

Users are only scanned when they are found logged on at the time of the scan.

No, the users were renamed a few years ago in active directory. But the problem did either exist in previous version of LanSweeper 3.5 which was the first version installed. Last week I upgraded the installation to 4.0.0.24 and the problem still exists. Because other applications either depends on active directory it's not likely there's something wrong in the active directory database.
Can you describe me what to check on the active directory database too verify it's consistent?
I also see file and registry scanning do not function. No idea what's going wrong. Checked the options in the configurator, the logon script and the lsclient version. Either the Scan wait time is set to 0.

Is it possible that you had the trial version previously and now the freeware version?
