I cannot get the screen capture program to work on systems with Windows 7. Is this a known issue? when the application runs, nothing ever comes up.

I am experiencing this same issue.

UPDATE: The Beta appears to have resolved the issue for me. As well as an issue with dual-monitor support (see here: http://www.lansweeper.com/forum/yaf_postst2628_screengrab-and-dual-monitors.aspx )

I am having this same issue. I can't do a screengrab of a Windows 7 machine. I have tried from Windows XP and Windows 7. States that it is "installing service" but than just stops. Was there ever any solution found for this issue?

There is a new beta here: http://www.lansweeper.com/forum/yaf_postst3222_29-March-Remote-screenshot-40-beta.aspx

The source is Windows XP SP3 and the destination is Windows 7. Both running 32bit OS.

We'll try to reproduce this.
Coulg you give the source/destination computers OS/service pack/32-64 bit.

I checked our Symantec Endpoint Protection manager, and this is not an issue. Screengrab is working fine under XP, but not W7 (same Symantec EP on both XP and W7 systems).

Some virusscanners see the screengrab as "riskware".
Could you check if the virusscanner on source and destination are not blocking the executable?

The last one I see is "installing service", and then nothing happens.

Is there something unique to Windows 7 that would prohibit this working?
