Should we use Lansweeper On-premise, Lansweeper Hybrid or Lansweeper Sites?
Lansweeper offers different solutions to cater to the diverse needs of its users. Here's a brief comparison:
1. Lansweeper On-premise: This is the traditional Lansweeper solution that was initially developed to automatically gather asset details from a local area network (or LAN). It offers many powerful features and is installed locally (physically or virtually) in the customer's environment.
2. Lansweeper Hybrid: It is a setup where Lansweeper On-premise is synchronized to Lansweeper Sites. This allows for a continuous 2-way sync of asset data between the on-prem inventory and Lansweeper Sites.
3. Lansweeper Sites (also known as Lansweeper Cloud): This solution allows you to manage your IT inventory completely from the cloud. It offers features like installation federation, access to your assets from anywhere, advanced permission and scope system, risk insights, OT discovery, and API access. It also provides an Open API and a growing number of integrations for third-party tools.
Please note that access to specific Lansweeper Sites features is determined by the level of the annual subscription plan you select: Starter, Pro or Enterprise. For a full comparison between Lansweeper Sites and Lansweeper On-premise, you can refer to the following Lansweeper community page.
