Lansweeper offers a variety of methods to scan your Mac OSX and Windows computers, most of which can be configured in the Scanning > Scanning Targets section of the Lansweeper On-prem web console. You can use one or more of these scanning methods, depending on your personal needs and preferences.
 
Setting up computers for scanning can vary significantly depending on the operating system and the selected scanning method. When configuring a Macbook for scanning with Lansweeper, you need to enable SSH access and ensure Spotlight is activated. For Windows PCs, the process typically involves using WMI or RPC for remote access. Please see the detailed scanning requirements in our KB articles, which are linked below.
