Engaged Sweeper
I have a question regarding how Lansweeper polls a domain controller for active scans. In another post, there was the following description on how active scanning works:

Active scanning currently works like this:
When the service is first started it looks for recent seen computers by DC's in the last 4 hours, it then repeats this process every 15 minutes.
Each computer contacts a DC about once a day (even if you don't log off)
So the first time you start the service it might take a while to get everything.
(next version will change this)

In an environment where there are multiple domain controllers for the same domain, how does Lansweeper determine the "recent seen computers" when each DC only knows about the computers it "talked to" on that day? The attribute for last logon does not replicate across the WAN, so is it possible that it is only grabbing a partial list of computers to scan? Same question about user logons.

Thanks

The lastlogon is indeed not replicated, that's why active scanning queries all domaincontrollers in the domain.

Each time active scanning starts Lansweeper enumerates first all domaincontrollers for this domain.
