I installed Lansweeper 3.5.2 on Windows 7 Enterprise box, with SQL Express - no errors show for the installation of the software or the database. However, after I chose to do an active scan, I am getting this error message....

I installed Lansweeper, service, database all on the same machine.

What I had to do to get this to work again was to install Lansweeper (latest beta) on a different PC with a new instance of SQL. It is now pulling the scans successfully.

Do you have to install a brand new instance on SQL for this to work if you had it previously on the same machine?

No, you can use the same instance, the database will be overwritten.

Yes...I re-applied the license file but I am using the latest beta (April 12th).

I see your log file still says "freeware version".
Did you apply the license key?

Any follow up on this issue? I checked the log file again today and it shows a successful connection to the database 4/15/10. I have stop and started the Lansweeper service - but no scanning at all. We have purchased the premium version.

I reinstalled SQL and now I don't see have any errors in the txt file - still no scanning. So, I uninstalled 3.5.2, installed beta 4, it does the same thing - No errors in the log - no scans at all. We had this working successfully before with beta 4 but uninstalled it to get the new beta (March 12th). What is the issue with getting the SQL Database to work? Does the database need to be installed on different machine that the service or website?

No,

Could you post the errorlog.txt file of the beta version 4 please.
