Hi,

Today we have released the standardized software preview switch. Standardized software has been available in preview for some time now. We’ve even had in enabled in the past. However, at the moment reports and the API use the raw software data that is scanned on-prem and you can only view the standardized software.

In today’s release, we’re providing the option to switch between raw software data and standardized software data for reports and the API. Standardized software normalizes software names and versions making it much easier to manage in the reports and the API.
Due to the resource cost of switching between raw and standardized software, if you decide to disable standardized software, you will not be able to re-enable it for 7 days.

Standardized Software is still in preview, meaning that the machine learning model behind the normalization will continue to learn and improve, but it also means that you might find slight errors or improvements.

I’ve forwarded the feedback so they can take a look if this would still be an issue in the next update to the normalization model.

Hi where is the bast place to provide feedback on the Standardized Software feature? We are attempting an Autodesk Audit, and this feature needs some work. For example, variations of the installed software with "french’ or “help” gets either broken out or merged into the “standard” software.
