I was looking at my error log and noticed this.

2/9/2009 9:05:18 AM : Cannot connect to database, check your config file, will try again in 1 minute
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cannot open database "Lansweeper32" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'lssqluser32'.
2/9/2009 9:06:20 AM : Database connection successful, starting up service

2/9/2009 2:05:52 PM : Stopping service

2/9/2009 2:05:54 PM : Database connection successful, starting up service

I was just wondering if it was actually connecting or not. I can open up sql server management studio and loging with the lssqluser32 user.

I am also like a lot of people having the wmi issues. I have tried everything. even the wmidaig.exe tool. it said wmi was working ok but it still shows error on the digital dashboard.

The company I work for would like to get this but since we are having so much trouble with it not working right we don't know.

thanks for your help.

Place the executable somewhere on your workstation where they can be executed.
They don't require any special installation.

If you have WMI or firewall problems, the premium version won't solve this (I'm a bad but honest salesman )
These problems are specific to your client and are rarely (if ever) the cause of Lansweeper.

ok I'll do that.

I do not know what else to do with the wmi errors. I have even rebuilt the wmi repository and re-registered then just rebuilt it all. Still does not work. I guess the only reason it works on my machine is because i have the database and everything installed on it.

If we get the Premium version, would I still have these problems? I wish you all had like a 7 day trial of the premium version. That would be great. Then I could see if this would work and then my company would probably get this. My boss likes it and wants to use it but we can't get past the wmi problem.

Thanks for your help.

You can download some additional actions from our download page (lansweeper action pack)

Great thanks it works now but some items says it is not an internal command. How do I fix that.

for example when I click on "Show open Files" it says psfiles.exe is not a reconized internal or external command. Is there something I need to get to fix this.

thanks

On the action screen, when I click on event viewer or computer management. It ask me if I want to run it and i select ok but it never does anything. Is it suppose to? Where would it display at?

You should check your internet explorer security settings to get this to work (see the documentation)

ok now it just updated. I done it again. Strange.

I'm still working with other computers with the wmi error. With the premium version will they still have that error since they are going through active directory?
