Hi All,
out of over 200 machines in the same domain one is still showing as not scanned. The error is:
Wmierror: Call was canceled by the message filter. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010002 (RPC_E_CALL_CANCELED)) IM-LAPTOP (IM-LAPTOP).
Firewall is off (via group policy). All pings < 1ms. Same ntwrk configuration as on the rest PC's (DHCP).
The 'Last seen' field gets updated after triggering scan.
Here's what I've done so far:
1. Double checked the firewall - off;
2. WMI service - On;
3. Tried to repair WMI:
- net stop winmgmt
- renamed %windir%\System32\Wbem\Repository
- net start winmgmt
- rundll32 wbemupgd, UpgradeRepository
- cd /d %windir%\system32\wbem
- for %i in (*.dll) do RegSvr32 -s %i
- for %i in (*.exe) do %i /RegServer
but didn't help;
4. Tried to reinstall WMI:
rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection WBEM 132 %windir%\inf\wbemoc.inf
but didn't help either.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

As you mentioned software again, I double checked all programs on the target PC and I found Checkpoint Securemote which is a VPN client. We do not need it on that laptop anymore so I uninstalled it and surprisingly Lansweeper scanned the machine successfully! A wee bit strange because we have Securemote Client installed on a few other laptops and there's no issue with them...
Anyway - working OK now.

are you able to telnet to port 135 on the taget machine.
Could you post a list of installed software please.

thanks for your prompt reesponse.
This is the Connection tester output:
Remote WMI test

If it comes to the software installed, well... I cannot see anything that might be acting as a firewall. There's McAfee (deployed to all PC's with same cfg), Pervasive SQL 7, VNC, ScanFile 2003, Acrobat 8 Standard.

So only one machine is affected?

When you try the connectiontester do you get an error?
Any other software that could intervene (third party firewall)?
