After IIS installation you only need to install the website part of lansweeper.
All your old data will still be intact.

Most likely this is not a static content problem.
I suggest to reinstall IIS to solve the problem.

I am using IIS, Can you pls elaborate how to do this? is it during installation or can be changed now?

If you are using IIS check if "static content" is installed.
