Engaged Sweeper
I'm fairly certain this is true, but I just want to get verification.

We have an application that is not detected during a Lansweeper scan. I'm assuming it's because it doesn't show up in Add/Remove Programs. By the way, is that how Lansweeper discovers installed software?

Actually, before I ask my original question, let me ask this: Is it possible to create a manual entry for an application? I ask because I just noticed that the dbo_tblSoftware table contains multiple records for each application (where each SoftwareID represents a unique installation of that application on a computer).

So, perhaps I'm answering my own question: Maybe it's not even possible (at this time) to add an application that Lansweeper cannot detect.

Your thoughts?

Thanks,

Terry

Yes, Lansweeper reads these registry entries.

Lansweeper will remove your added software on the next scan.
A solution would be to create a manual registry entry in the registry on this computer, then it will be scanned like the other software.
