Engaged Sweeper
Hi, I installed Lansweeper (freeware edition) on monday with SQL 2005 Express.
Before I installed it on my management server I wanted to test it.

So I installed this on my computer Vista Business SP1.

I made a GPO so when users log in LSclient is executed.
Now, lansweeper "finds" my computer but doesn't scan them.

I already performed dcomcnfg on several pc's and everything was configured correctly. Also on each pc WMI service is started.

When I run the Connection Tester I get this:

Remote WMI test
-----------------------------------------------
Found: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4
\root\cimv2 Remote WMI access test OK

Remote Registry test using WMI
-----------------------------------------------
Found: Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
\root\default Remote WMI access test OK

when I look in the error tab of each PC this is listed:
Wmierror Remote calls are not allowed for this process. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8001011C)

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

yes DCOM is enabled.
but the problem solved itself. He started scanning this morning.
Thanks for the quick replay.

Hi,

Are you sure that DCOM is enabled on the clients?
Are you using the latest version 3.5.1?
