Hello,
I am currently experiencing issues with Lansweeper and SQL Express 2008.
lansweeper is currently going over the 4GB size limit.
When I was on lansweeper 3.5 the file size of the database never went over 600 MB.
Why has the database grown 7x in size?
Is there a way to keep the file size down?
Currently Lansweeper cannot scan computers.
Assistance is much appreciated.
Thank you,

Hi,
You could try this to shrink everything (will also clear the current eventlogs)
1) stop the lansweeper service
2) Run the following sql command from the database scripts in the configuration tool:
truncate table tblntlogevent
3) using the sql management tools, right click on the database and select shrink.
4) using the sql management tools, right click on the database and select shrink files.
5) restart the sql server and lansweeper service.

This worked. Thank you. The database shrank to 900 some MB.
Thanks
