Limiting what is scanned

am pretty sure that I read that I can limit what get scanned durring the login (example: just scan for BIOS version.
Some of our users login via dial up and it is tremendously slow as it is, so I want to limit what I scan for during each login.

Maybe a full scan during the first scan and then every 6 months.
scan software only monthly

...

IS this a possibility?

Yes, check the table : tsyswaittime.
You can fill in the amount of days to wait for each scan for each scan type.
example : software every 1 days, operating system every 90 days.

You can also use the table tbldonotscan.

These computers won't be scanned.
