My problem is with Macintosh devices that are using DHCP.
Since the device key for these type of devices is the IP address, as soon as they get a different IP, the device is duplicated in my Lansweeper inventoy list.
Is there a workaround for this problem?

Could you update to our latest Lansweeper version. Our latest installer can be found here. Instructions on how to update can be found on page 103 and beyond of our online documentation.
More recent Lansweeper versions attempt to retrieve the machine's MAC address and use that as the unique identifier. Note that when you apply the update, one final duplication may occur to create the machine entry that includes the MAC address. You can delete any remaining duplicates by selecting them in the Lansweeper configuration console under Lansweeper\Scanned Devices and hitting the Delete button.
