new fields in asset data

there are new fields in the asset of the computers:
contact and location
This fields can be readout by scanning.
But where is the data from?

In regards to the Contact and Location fields: these fields are only scanned for network devices that have SNMP enabled. For other machines, these fields are reserved for manual data insertion.

Hi,

but there is a check button on the right "Lock against Scanning" (in the 5 version)
as in the field "asset type" or "assetname"...
So the data are stored elsewhere.

They are edited manually in "Edit Asset".
