in my LAN I have my clients and servers including the host server for LANsweeper, where everything works fine, but everytime I try to connect to the three servers in the DMZ I get following error:
Remote WMI access test FAILED
Access denied (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
On the firewall I have opened port 9524/TCP in both directions for the servers in the DMZ and the server in my LAN hosting LANsweeper, by still I cannot access WMI. The domain in the LAN is not the same as in the DMZ.
Do you have any idea, how my LANsweeper server can access and perform an inventory on the servers in the DMZ. If possible, I would like to avoid a trust...!
Thanks in advanced for any input and help.
Best regards,
Steen

In NT4 the following worked : use the same username/password on both servers.
Don't know if it still works

I tried this afternoon after opening all ports between the server in the lan and the dmz, but no luck. I guess, you're right - I might have to consider the trust.
Thanks a lot for the fast reply.

From your lan to your dmz you should open the netbios/wmi ports.
But I think for the access denied a trust is the only option at the moment
