-You can check the eventviewer for any errors
-Did you change the config file to connect to the database?
-Is the server running?
-If you are using a firewall, did you open the correct port?
-Do you get a "success" when starting the lsclient.exe?

Hi Smikkel,

I downloaded the service version of Lansweeper and it installed according to the documentation. I have it running, but when I use the LSclient tool on a client, it can not connect to the Lansweeper service. Am I forgetting something to do ? Could you help out please ?

Thanks in advance,

good!

isn't there a way to autostart lswinap without clicking the button?
I put it in my "startup" folder, lsconsole was starting by itself.

really: already scheduled for when I'll get it to run as a service.
I'm trying with srvany or something.
thanks

I posted it in the last newsletter.
I haven't had time yet to update the website:

Hello Lansweeper newsletter subscribers,

I'm proud to announce that version 1.5 of lansweeper is available from today.

Modifications :

The server is gui based now.
The server is much faster than before.
Scanning is done based on ip address instead of FQDN (number 1 in the wish list)
Memory problems with the server are solved.
I removed the logfile errorlog.txt and moved it to the table Tsyserrors.
Added Errors to extra in the webconsole.
Fixed some nasty bugs.
Made some changes to support special characters in names.
That's all for now.

oh yes, one more thing : don't forget to donate 🙂
