I'm logged into my server that is hosting Lansweeper (5030) as machine (local) admin and have set DOMAIN/AD_SECURITYGROUP for the web access.

However I can't access LS from the server it is hosted on.

I tried adding LansweeperPC\Administrator, so it looked like this:

DOMAIN/AD_SECURITYGROUP,LansweeperPC\Administrator

and relaunced the browser on the PC I made those changes, but still can't access from LansweeperPC.

I will be logged in to that server as local admin normally.

Computer1, logged in as member of DOMAIN/AD_SECURITYGROUP, can access LS web interface
LansweeperPC, logged in as local machine admin, can not access LS web interface

Both machines have had the browser closed and re-opened.

I don't want to set access privelages to allow BUILTIN\Administrators because I don't want people on Computer2, Computer3, etc.. to be able to access LS by simplying being local machine admin.

The exact syntax of the group should be shown when you visit the website and don't have access.
The screen will show all available groups you belong to.

What's the syntax? I added a group "Lansweeper_Local" on LansweeperPC, added machine administrator to that group, added LansweeperPC\Lansweeper_Local to LansweeperPC:82/configuration/WebUsers/and still can't access the site on the server hosting LS.

So, can I add a local machine admin to the AD Security group?

No, but you can create a local group and add the local account to it.

You can't add users, only groups.

Which error do you get? The error page should show you the groups your account belongs to.
