We are updating this announcement to share an important update regarding the Flow builder Beta and its next Preview phase.
🚀 A New Flow Builder Designer Is Coming
We are currently working on a new Flow builder designer UI with a simplified and more intuitive user experience. Some of the highlights include:
-
Inline connection configuration
-
Streamlined workflow enabling
-
Improved visibility of workflow tests and live executions
-
And more UX improvements designed to make Flow builder smoother and more efficient
This new designer will also involve a workflow migration. Since we don’t want you to go through two separate migration processes, we’re investigating how to align the migrations so that you will only need to migrate once.
The new designer is still in testing phase, so it will take a bit longer before we release it. We’re genuinely excited about these improvements and believe they will significantly enhance your Flow builder experience. Our team is working hard to get these changes to you as soon as possible.
Because of these upcoming changes, we are extending the beta phase and will not move to Preview just yet. Our goal is to ensure migration steps are crystal clear before you start, and to give you enough time to test the new designer and share feedback.
We sincerely apologize for the additional waiting time this extension brings. We know delays can be frustrating, but we want to make sure you have the best possible experience from the start.
Thanks again for your patience and your ongoing participation in the beta. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the upcoming exciting updates.

- Edit asset state and type
- Retrieve user data
- Get or create asset and user relations
- Get and create custom fields
- An asset matching action to easily merge external assets.

⚠ Important: Workflow migration required
As part of the new data model release, existing workflows will require migration. While the migration process is not expected to be complex, it is necessary to ensure your current workflows continue functioning.
You can find the migration instructions here: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/flow-builder-program/flow-builder-migration-guide/ba-p/84553
