We continue to try to improve the management of our assests and adopting LanSweeper as our "source of truth". We are cleaning up and auditing data. We have several items that are automatically populating as assets in LanSweeper and we are not sure where they are coming from or how to adjust.
Items include IPs for IPv6 connections tied to laptops. We want the laptop to be an asset, but not every time it connects and a new IP is identified.
Our VPN connections are coming in as an asset. Again, the laptop is an asset and we manage, but each "openVPN" connection we don't want to manage.
We have an item auto populating "DockerDesktopVM" which is automatically selectin ght eHyper-V guest asset type. Does anyone know what this is and what triggers it to come in as an asset.
How can we maybe prevent from scanning these odd items we don't want to track and auto populating?
Thank you!!!!!!
