As lansweeper is a great tool for inventory it only needs a few improvements to be a CMDB like source for ITSM tooling (like 4Me but soon topdesk etc can use similar integration).
create a ‘reliability’ score to each lansweeper asset. If the asset has been successfully scanned and primary fields have been completed it might be 100% score.
if an asset is detected but unsuccessful in further scanning primary fields are not (all) completed and a score can be calculated.
succesfully scanned in last scan cycle: 100%
succesfully scanned in last 1-5 days: 75%
never scanned successfully: 25%
or another approach might be to work with # of primary fields (serial, name, mac, brand, type, support) and calculate a reliability score.
then the integration can be done on this score, sync asset only if reliability is above xx%.
this way one can filter garbage to ITSM while the lansweeper team can easily report and improve on this score.
