It’s important to understand that scans are conducted in batches. While some scans may be in progress during a service restart, the remaining scans are queued for processing.

Because the database is transactional, any asset data that has been committed to the database remains protected against corruption, even if the scan service encounters an unexpected failure or restart.

In rare instances, some scans may be incomplete if the scan service shuts down while a scan is still in progress. However, this issue is automatically resolved during the next scheduled scan.

Please note that a restart will clear any queued scan requests from that server's scanning queue.

More information about the scanning queue can be found here: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/scanning-your-network/view-and-clear-your-scanning-queue/ta-p/64...
