Can the system be used to create data center management (infrastructure)?
The idea is to add the following fields to the assets and base on these fields to generate a report on Rack capacity, and asset location in the data center - eg Rack 22 U37.
The field should be: Datacenter (name- in case you have more than one), Rack ID, Unit location (Location in the rack), and the height of the server.
With this given information in the DB, it's possible to create a report that will alert when a rack is nearly full, to make a map of the datacenter ext.

Hello @Christian611
I came across your question -- I'm sorry it wasn't answered sooner.
So, what I'd recommend is using Custom Fields. Specifically, use them in Sites (the cloud-based platform). Create the unique custom field(s) that you need for each Datacenter, Rack, Unit, etc.
Then, instead of a "report", use "Custom Views" to create a live view of your datacenter. You can use the "Advanced Filter" feature to narrow down your specific details.
If you are wanting to create a report based on volume/capacity in your datacenter or racks, you'll need to use some other logic. Instead of using the built-in features, you can use the "code" button to reveal the code, modify with the logic you'd like using Mongo.
I'd think that Custom Fields with an Advanced filter will be easier and quicker to create.
I hope this helps give you a little direction.
