Lansweeper is delighted to announce new capabilities for Operational Technologies. Building on the foundations of our world-class scanning technology Lansweeper has expanded our software sensors to identify Industrial OT devices by manufacturers such as Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi Electric, Schneider Electric, ABB utilizing protocols such as Siemens S7 Communication, EtherNet/IP, Melsec, Modbus, BACnet, OPCUA. This enables Lansweeper to provide customers with a single pane of glass for all assets whether OT or IT.

This is a preview feature available via our cloud platform and will go through many iterations before its official release.  As such we are very keen to hear your feedback whether that be +ve or -ve.

If anyone wants to find out more about running Lansweeper on an OT network, come along to our session tomorrow where the team will be answering questions live Q&A Session: Virtual MeetUp on OT Asset Management (lansweeper.com)

So far, the OT scanner is a great "nice to have" and provides a lot of insight, especially for those with security in mind. Featuring protocols, asset names, MAC addresses, and more -all the wonderful things we expect from Lansweeper.

Suggestions: I would like to see more or better integration with the on-prem Lansweeper service. Using the latest version of on-prem lansweeper and cannot link the discovery hub at this time. More information, which is available in Discovery Hub, to be available in Cloud Lansweeper. Right now, you cannot see 'where' the assets are located in Cloud. Lastly, if there were a module in on-prem lansweeper that combines the web UI that would be preferrable (eggs in one basket).

Hi @jpayneofun,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback.

You can link the OT hub to the LS On-prem when the On-prem isn't linked to the Cloud. You can find more information here. Once you link the Hub with the On-prem, you will have all the information in a single UI (eggs in one basket as you said).

Regarding the information available in the Cloud, would you like to have a conversation with me? I would like to understand what data points we are missing.

Best regards,
Maria Orellana
