How to show Linux OS name or version in a report

I have Linux servers that show the correct OS when editing the asset (e.g. "Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS") but I can't get that to show up in a report. I've tried both tsysOS and tblOperatingsystem and neither contain the info that shows up in the asset itself.

Where else should I be looking?

The operating system for Linux computers is stored in the tblLinuxSystem table. In this table you can find the OS release name, Kernel name and version. We added an example report below with these fields.

Instructions for adding this report to your Lansweeper installation can be found here. If you are interested in building or modifying reports, we do recommend:

• Reviewing some SQL tutorials, as the Lansweeper report builder is a standard SQL editor. If you know SQL, you know how to build Lansweeper reports as well. This seems like a good tutorial.
