Sorry for originally posting this in the Reports forum. I should have read the instructions closer.
I know how to create a report to list what is installed in Control Panel (Programs and Features) and I know how to create one for what is found in the filesystem (via Custom File Scanning). What I am struggling with is how to combine them.
Here are my two queries:
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Tim

Here are my two queries:
Select Top 1000000 tblAssets.AssetName As Hostname,
tblSoftwareUni.softwareName As Software,
tblSoftware.softwareVersion As Version
From tblSoftware
Inner Join tblAssets On tblSoftware.AssetID = tblAssets.AssetID
Inner Join tblSoftwareUni On tblSoftware.softID = tblSoftwareUni.SoftID
Inner Join tblAssetCustom On tblAssets.AssetID = tblAssetCustom.AssetID
Where tblSoftwareUni.softwareName Like '%someapp%' And
tblAssetCustom.State = 1
Select Top 1000000 tblAssets.AssetName As Hostname,
tblFileVersions.FilePathfull,
tblFileVersions.FileVersion,
tblFileVersions.CompanyName
From tblAssets
Inner Join tblFileVersions On tblAssets.AssetID = tblFileVersions.AssetID
Where tblFileVersions.FilePathfull Like '%\Program Files (x86)\someapp.exe'And
tblFileVersions.Found = 1
Order By tblAssets.AssetName
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Tim

We combined both reports using a subquery. Hopefully this will give back the information that you are after.
Instructions for adding this report to your Lansweeper installation can be found here. If you are interested in building or modifying reports, we do recommend:
Instructions for adding this report to your Lansweeper installation can be found here. If you are interested in building or modifying reports, we do recommend:
- Reviewing some SQL tutorials, as the Lansweeper report builder is a standard SQL editor. If you know SQL, you know how to build Lansweeper reports as well. This seems like a good tutorial.
- Making use of our database dictionary, which explains in great detail what each database table and field stores. More information on the dictionary can be found here.
