Hello Mercedes,
It was nice to meet you virtually this morning! My name is Daric and I am a member of a 3 man team from the Lafayette County IT Dept in Darlington, Wisconsin, USA. We are responsible for managing all County employee user profiles, devices and the networking between 8 County owned satellite buildings. We also provide support to over 20 individual and very unique County Departments to include over 200 users.
I am new to LanSweeper, but one of my collogues used the program at a previous employer a few years ago and helped with the introduction and ultimately adding LanSweeper to our toolbox. Now that I am getting a better understanding on the scanning capabilities, I want to start focusing on deployment packages to better manage all our devices.
Fun facts... Lafayette County is the only remaining County in the State of Wisconsin without a traffic light and it is the home of the "World's Largest Letter M". Platte Mound M - Wikipedia
I was recruited to the IT Department in 2019 after putting in 25 years at the Sheriff's Office leaving as a Patrol Sergeant and lead sniper on our Multi-Jurisdictional Emergency Response Team. (ERT or aka SWAT) When I am not clacking on a keyboard, I relax by sitting behind my drum set.

Great e-meeting you Daric and welcome to our Community, I learnt something new with those really cool fun facts (a county with no traffic lights?!, lead sniper, drums! colour me intrigued 🙂) we appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

Hey Daric - Welcome to the Lansweeper Community - its great to have you here !
Thanks so much for joining us virtually yesterday - those live webinars (which we have a ton of fun with) only exist because of input from users like yourself - we really appreciate your active involvement.
Yesterday was 'Best Practice' but we have a host of monthly webinars you should check out including one next week that is co-hosted by users !
I have experienced Local Government on both sides of the Pond during my career - supporting users is a thankless task sometimes, let alone doing it in an environment where money is probably tight - we applaud you and hope Lansweeper goes some way to giving you back weekends.
Happy Holidays !
Rgds

My name is Wayne and I'm based out of Atlanta, Ga.
I've been a Lansweeper user for 2 different companies over the past 5 or 6 years.
I took on a new roll with my current company as I came in to take over their IT and Security. Lansweeper helps to do the obvious asset management (while synchronizing with other products like Jira) while also adding to our security presence and auditing to maintain a better view and help with our internal vulnerabilities.
Something interesting about me .... I was trained to shoot Stinger missiles for the US Navy and actually got to fire a live one during training.

Wayne, Great to see you joining the Community!
Sounds like you have a similar background and experience with Lansweeper like Kanad and me. I was in IT at a College and found Lansweeper to help with security and overall visibility as well... I can totally relate.
But, where I can't relate are Stinger missiles!! What the heck! WOW! That would have been a total thrill.
We are glad you are here -- I look forward to seeing you get involved and help our inexperienced users in the Community forums. (Hint: it will help keep you on Mercede's good side. 😆 LOL)
Best wishes.

Oh, you think shooting a Stinger missile is cool? That's cute. Back in my day, we used to write shell scripts on punch cards... uphill... both ways! Now that's cool. These days, I'm just happy to get my pen testing done without the server bursting into flames. You know, the usual Tuesday. I'm not boring, I'm just running scheduled tasks in the background... like preventing global thermonuclear war. No biggie. 😉
