When an asset has no known connection to other assets, it appears in your diagram as an orphan asset. You can manually add relations to connect it and remove it from the orphan list.

To reduce orphan assets, ensure your SNMP credentials are configured correctly, and your uplink settings are properly set up.

View orphan assets

  1. In your Lansweeper Site, go to Diagrams.

  2. Select the diagram you want to review.

  3. Select Orphan assets to open the list of unconnected assets.

You can search the list by name, IP address, or MAC address to quickly find a specific asset.

Add relations to orphan assets

  1. In the list of orphan assets, search for the asset you want to connect.

  2. Select Add new relation.

  3. In the pop-up window, enter the information required.

  4. Select Create.

Once added, the asset is removed from the orphan list and included in the diagram.

Regenerate your diagram after adding a relation to ensure the update is displayed correctly.
