All available diagrams are listed in Diagrams, and are preconfigured based on your installations and IP locations in Lansweeper Platform.
Prerequisites
Diagrams provide a snapshot of your installations and inventory. To ensure the diagrams accurately reflect your setup, make sure your environment is properly configured.
Before generating a diagram, verify that the following prerequisites are met:
Installation diagrams
Check the Sync status of each installation to confirm it is correctly configured and synchronized. If an installation shows sync issues, diagrams may display outdated content.
You can check the sync status by going to Configuration > Installations > All installations.
Diagrams related to unsynced installations will not appear in Diagrams.
IP location diagrams
Ensure that your IP locations are configured in Lansweeper Sites.
To add or update IP locations, go to Assets > Categorization > IP locations.
Explore available diagrams
A list of all available diagrams is shown in All diagrams. These diagrams are organized based on templates and scopes. Templates dictate how your inventory’s information is organized in a diagram.
Currently, templates are available for network topologies and virtual environments.
Network topologies
The network topology template is a visual arrangement of the various elements of a communication network. It illustrates the components of a computer or telecommunications network, including firewalls, devices, and routers. It also shows how network components relate to and interact with each other.
View your network topology diagrams by going to Diagrams and selecting Network topology in the dropdown.
Virtual environments
The virtual environment template is a visual arrangement focusing on the virtual resources available in your inventory. It illustrates virtual components such as hypervisors and virtual machines. Virtual environments also display some of your virtual assets' shared properties, such as clusters, disks, and more. This gives you more context and can help you in decision-making.
View your virtual environment diagrams by going to Diagrams and selecting Virtual environment in the dropdown.
Scopes
A scope further specifies the information included in your diagrams, and is directly impacted by your inventory configuration.
To view your diagrams' scopes, go to Diagrams and check the Scope column.
Currently, there are three types of scopes:
Inventory
Provides the broadest overview, showing all IT assets in your inventory
Offers a holistic view of your IT estate for comprehensive insights and control
Can be filtered by IP location for more focused analysis
Installation
Limited to assets from a specific installation that is configured and synced to your Lansweeper Site
Available only if you have more than one installation configured. Each synced installation generates its own preconfigured diagram.
Can be filtered by IP location for more focused analysis
