Engaged Sweeper
We have a Domain with nearly 150 Domian Controllers.
Lansweeper is only used in Germany.

This is what I have found in a different topic:

"Lansweeper queries all DC's in the domain because a workstation only logs on to one of the DC's and this field isn't replicated to the other DC's by microsoft design"

This is what I see in the error log:

So mainly a BEDC003 is connected

Because I'm only scanning the German OU I will get only the computers that are logged on to DEDC004.
No other German DC was connected within the last 3 days.

Stephan

Ista,

Please also send me a mail to get a debug build.
(you seem to be having another issue)

Would this be sort of the same issue.

This is my lansweeper log. It also seems to only query this one DC.

Hi Stephan,

Please contact me at lansweeper@hemoco.com, I'll make a special debug build to find the exact problem.

I 've red that Lansweeper queries all DCs in a domain. As you can see in the pasted part of the errorlog.txt the Lansweeper queries bedc003 again and again and again.
Whitin 3 days the Lansweeper has conneted to 3 DCs (namly BEDC003, PLDC001 and DEDC004) at all but we have nearly 150 DCs in our domain.

So how can I get all the machines that have logged on to the DCs that have never connected by Lansweeper.

Aditionally I'm only interested in German computers (Active Scan limited to German OU) so I will get only information about machines logged on to DEDC004.

Question is: How can I get all "my" (German) machines WITHOUT using th client feature.

Hope this will makes it more clear.

Hi Stefan,

Sorry but could you please explain the question some more.
Is this just a question or do you have an actual problem with scanning?
