Engaged Sweeper
Hi,

I was wondering : Why does Lansweeper need a Domain Administrative Windows Account? Why that level of access? What is the security that prevents anyone to retrieve the credentials?

Thank you!

Ok Thanks. So the credentials are kept in the SQL database. Good to know.

Thank you for your fast reply.

I'm not talking about how secure is the logon but how secure are the credentials kept inside of LanSweeper's config.

Thanks!

The accounts in the database are stored in reversible encryption.

Lansweeper needs an account with administrative permissions on clients (domain administrator is the easiest way)
Logons are secured like any other remote windows logon.
