Hello,
I am a premium user and installed the new version. I configured lansweeper to scan all local computer as well a distant domain. when looking to the result of the scan, almost all the local pc connected to the local domain are scanned , unfortunatly the servers as well pc on distant domain ( different one ) are not detected.
when testing with "Lansweeper test connection",the pc or server is detected successfully, also when those servers are explicitly configured in lawsweeper console ==> "scheduled scanning", the result is ok.
the following error is generated in the errorlog.txt. ( the user and password I am using are controlled )
31/08/2009 11:47:45: distant.domain02.com dc2prod.local.domain01.com Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
at System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.PropertyManager.GetPropertyValue(DirectoryContext context, DirectoryEntry directoryEntry, String propertyName)
at System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.Domain.GetDomain(DirectoryContext context)
at LansweeperService.mdlActivescanning.ActiveScan()
any help would be appreciated.
kind regards

The test connection tests to see if you can scan the target computer.
This error is related to the querying of the domain controller for active scanning.
Could you please post screenshots of your configuration (or mail them to lansweeper@hemoco.com)

The account accessing the remote domain is the administrator, has all the administration priviliges.
The remote domain is windows 2000 server and there is no trusted relationship between both domain. I was wondering how it comes that the test connection and when specifying explicitly the server in the remote domain, it is working fine ?
thank you

Which kind of acount do you use to scan the remote domain?
This account should not only have access to the computer but also to the domaincontrollers.
Which type of domain is the remote domain (win2003/win2008,trusted/not-trusted/childomain,...)
