On the main dashboard, I really like to see the number of Device/computers by type. How many mail servers that i have, number of VM servers, routers and so on. However this list is incomplete because systems that run Windows will NOT show up in this view. This is very unfortunate and I hope it is easy to remedy.
As I mentionned in another post we have mail servers running exchange that don't appear in this view. VMware is another example where we run a mixture of VMware products, including the VMware Server for windows that does not appear in this view.
So since this view is built on the field called "Type", perhaps this is the name that should be used in the heading and this field should be added to a windows computer table. Make sure that the type can be overridden and locked by the administrator...just like it is now done when you edit device details.
