Hi,
I'm getting this error when running lsclient on a workstation (XP)
The command: lsclient 10.0.5.1
lansweeper version is 3.1
the server is a xp too.
I don't have an AD. I imagine that running lsclient on a workstaion could work.
What's wrong?

On the server go to "my computer" / manage
Go to services / go to the lansweeper service and change the account.

Yes indeed (if 10.0.5.1 is the IP of your server where the service is running)

this means: the account on 10.0.5.1 must have administrative permissions on the workstation where lsclient is to be run?

The account running the lansweeper service must have administrative permissions on the client.
