It would be REALLY, REALLY helpful if you could add some extra fields in the IP Location table -
Since, for the most part, subnets are location-specific, the *really cool* way to track an asset's actual location is by the IP Location.
EXAMPLE:
IP LOCATION -
NAME
COUNTRY
REGION
CITY
ADDRESS1
ADDRESS2
You get the point...
Then you won't need those city/location fields for assets... because this would actually be accurate/dynamic!
BONUS POINTS:
Custom Fields!
EXAMPLE:
LATITUDE
LONGITUDE (geo coordinates)
Then, you can do really fancy things like have Splunk import assets with geolocation information to use with map API's...
