I am having problems configuring the LANSWEEPER software to handling all the network devices we have attached to our LAN. Currently I have the premium version of your software installed on a VMware 2003 server with a SQL Express 2005 database. The server ran well until I hit about 15000 workstations but now that we hit the 24K+ range the SQL Express server has hit it maximum threshold and our error files are being flooded with this issue.
Will upgrading the SQL Express database to SQL 2005 server resolve our performance and capacity issues? Will running this on a Virtual server present any problems for us and if not, what should the resources be set to in order to run well at the inventory levels we have to manage?
Thanks in advance.
Andre

You will need to do the upgrade anyway because of the 4GB limit.

No Date has been announced yet.
To solve your problem now I suggest to upgrade to SQL standard (or workgroup)

Yeah, that is exactly what is happening to me. Any idea when you think the next release will be out?

The problem is most likely caused by the limit of the express database (4 GB)
Could you verify this.
Could you post the exact error of your errorlog file.
To manage over 15000 clients I suggest that you use multiple scanning servers.
In the current version this doesn't work with active scanning (with lsclient it runs ok), but the next version will fully support this.
